Synthesis and characterization of polymer-templated mesoporous silicas containing niobium

Article Abstract:

A series of niobium-containing mesoporous silicas (Nb-MS) with different pore diameters are synthesized via an acid-mediated route by using different kinds of nonionic triblock copolymers. The effect of the chain length of poly(propylene oxide) (PO) and poly(ethylene oxide) (EO) units on the structure of Nb-MS material is studied.

Mesoporous carbons synthesized by imprinting ordered and disordered porous structures of silica particles in mesophase pitch

Article Abstract:

The imprinting of mesophase pitch particles with porous silica of ordered and disordered structures provide a simple, reproducible, and effective way to synthetisize carbons with desired surface area, mesopore structure, and morphology. This method allows imprinting not only the pore wall structure of silica particles.

Characterization of ordered mesoporous carbons synthesized using MCM-48 silicas as templates

Article Abstract:

CMK-1ordered mesoporous carbons are synthesized using MCM-48 silica templates with a wide range of unit0-cell parameters and poor sizes. It was shown that thermogravimetric weight loss behavior under air atmosphere provides important insights to the structural integrity and quality of the CMK-1 samples.
