Article Abstract:
Structural analysis of unilamellar manganese oxide nanosheets obtained through exfoliation of layered manganese oxides is carried out by using synchrotron radiation (SR) X-ray in-plane diffraction and polarization-dependent total reflection fluorescence X-ray absorption fine structure (PTRF-XAFS) analyses. The obtained structure data revealed that the two-dimensional lattice of the Mn[O.sub.2] sheets underwent a slight elongation upon delamination.

Article Abstract:
Several electron microscopy techniques have followed the growth of CoC2O4.H2O particles during aqueous precipitation. The use of techniques with particle systems where the final precipitate appearance may hide particle substructures could help elucidate growth mechanisms and allow better control of nanostructured materials for a number of applications.

Article Abstract:
The two-dimensional diffraction features of novel nanosheet crystallites of quasi-TiO2 are examined. A single crystallite gave a face-centered orthogonal array of hl diffraction spots representing a 0.38 nm * 0.30 nm periodicity, which reflects the two-dimensional atomic arrangement in the nanosheet.
