A molecular dynamics study of the long-time ice Ih surface dynamics

Article Abstract:

The dynamics of water molecules at the ice Ih surface over 48 ns by were investigated by molecular dynamics stimulations of the TIP4P ice Ih surface between 180-210K.

Scattering of ice particles from a graphite surface: A molecular dynamics simulation study

Article Abstract:

MD simulations of clusters consisting of upto 25 159 H2O molecules are studied to enable direct scattering and to characterize the transfer of energy between the different degrees of freedom of the collision process. An attempt is made to bridge the gap between molecular dynamics and continuum physics by illustrating macroscopic process on the molecular level.

Collision dynamics and decomposition of NaCI nanometer particles on hot platinum surfaces

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the use of molecular beam techniques to study the scattering and decomposition on NaCI particles, with diameters of 15-80nm, on hot surfaces with temperatures of 1200-1500K are discussed.
