Photo catalyst of lamellar aggregates of RuO(sub x)-loaded perovskite nanosheets for overall water splitting

Article Abstract:

Restacked aggregate of exfoliated nanosheets of Ca (sub 2)Nb(sub 3)O(sub 10) is used to achieve overall photo catalytic splitting of water which is synthesized by flocculating a colloidal suspension of the nanosheets with alkaline metal ions and a trace amount of ruthenium red. The restackled aggregate, which is heated at 773 K to convert the ruthenium complex to the oxide, undergoes the stoichiometric splitting of water upon initiation of UV illumination, verifying the process.

Secondary minimum coagulation in charged colloidal suspensions from statistical mechanics methods

Article Abstract:

A statistic mechanics method based on the solution of the reference hypermetted chain (RHNC) integral equation is used to predict the critical parameters of coagulation in the secondary minimum for charged colloidal suspensions. The extrapolation procedure employed is found to be more rapid that that proposed by Morales and co-workers.

Stability analysis of three-dimensional colloidal domains: Quadratic fluctuations

Article Abstract:

Three-dimensional domain patterns can self-assemble in a charged colloidal suspension with competing short-range attraction and long-range Yukawa repulsion. The free energy variation in the framework of the continuum model is expanded to quadratic terms under the constraint of constant volume.
