Near-infrared photoluminescence of single-walled carbon nanotubes prepared by the laser vaporization method

Article Abstract:

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT)'s prepared by the laser vaporization method and ultrasonically dispersed in a D2O-surfactant mixture shows near-infrared PL, corresponding to the lowest electronic interband transitions. The characteristics features of this PL, such as multiple peak emission and a strong exication wavelength are similar to those reported for SWNTs.

Raman spectroscopy of individual single-walled carbon nanotubes from various sources

Article Abstract:

Individualized single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) are studied using Resonance Raman spectroscopy/microscopy. It is shown that the high-power, short time sonication used to generate individualized SWNT suspensions does not induce defects in great quantities.
