Magnetooptical Effects of Room Temperature Molecular-Based Magnetic Films Composed of Vanadium Hexacyanochromates

Article Abstract:

Film-type vanadium hexacyanochromate-based magnets with high critical temperatures (Tc): K (super I)(sub 0.31) V (super II)(sub 0.49) V (super III)(sub 0.51)[Cr(super III(CN)6]0.94*6.5h20(1)(Tc=310K) and K(super I)(sub 0.61)V(super II)(sub 0.97)V(superIII)(sub 0.03)[Cr(super III)9CN)6]0.88*7.2h20*0.4C(sub 2)H(sub 5)OH(2) (Tc= 345K) is electronically synthesized. Among molecular-based magnets the present Faraday spectra in the ferromagnetic region are the first observed.

Nitrogen-concentration dependence on photocatalytic activity of TiO2-xNx powders

Article Abstract:

The oxidation power of the TiO(sub 2-x)n(sub x) powders with low nitrogen concentrations is evaluated by the decomposition of gaseous 2-propanol (IPA) under the same absorbed photon number. Increasing the nitrogen concentration when irradiating with UV light lowered the quantum yields, indicating that the doping sites could also serve as recombination sites.

Cooling-rate dependent ferromagnetism in a two-dimensional cyano-bridged Sm(III)-W(V) complex

Article Abstract:

Cooling-rate dependent ferromagnetism in samarium octacyanotung state, Sm(H2O)5[W(CN)8] is reported. X-ray single structural analysis showed that this compound consists of a two-dimensional cyanobridged network.
