Influence of the system geometry on the characteristics of the surface tension auto-oscillation: a numerical study

Article Abstract:

A numerical study of the processes that occur in a small cylindrical vessel with rigid walls, by the dissolution of a surfactant droplet placed n the capillary up under the free water interface is presented. The numerical and experimental results are compared and discussed.

Effect of buoyancy on appearance and characteristics of surface tension repeated auto-oscillations

Article Abstract:

The effect of buoyancy on surface tension auto-oscillations is examined. The buoyancy force results in a considerable decline of the induction period and the period of oscillations when the surface solution density is smaller than the density of the pure liquid.

Autooscillations of surface tension in water-alcohol systems

Article Abstract:

Atooscillations of surface tension at the water-air interface are observed when a droplet of an alcohol is formed at the tip of a capillary immersed under the water surface. A new phenomenon is studied for a number of aliphatic alcohols.
