GERMANY: NATIONAL STARCH CONCENTRATES PRODUCTION

Article Abstract:

Between January 1999 and March 2000, National Starch is to gradually close down its adhesives plant in Obertshausen, Germany, which it acquired from Mydrin in March 1998. The production of the plant is to be taken over by two other German plants in Klewe and Neustadt and by mills in France, Italy and the Netherlands. Two-thirds of the 65 jobs will be lost.

GERMANY: ROTH RAISES CONTAINER PRODUCTION

German Rilchingen-Hanweiler-based Roth Werk GmbH & Co, which entered the packaging market only three years ago, is to install a new extrusion blow-moulding facility and an assembly line for intermediate bulk containers (IBC) at Rilchingen-Hanweiler.

GERMANY: EUKALIN EXPANDS PRODUCTION

Article Abstract:

Following a marked expansion of production area, the German Eschweiler-based company Eukalin is to produce 7,000 tonnes of adhesives for the paper and board industries in 1999. About 10% of the total is sold outside Europe.
