Kinetics and mechanism of oxidative dehydrogenation of propane on vanadium, molybdenum, and tungsten oxides
Article Abstract:
A new study examines how oxidative dehydrogenation pathways are affected by cation identity. Two-dimensional MoOx, VOx, and WOx structures supported on ZrO2 are used as experimental materials.

Isotopic tracer studies of reaction pathways for propane oxidative dehydrogenation of molybdenum oxide catalysts
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to identity the elementary steps and their reversibility in the oxidative dehyrogenation of propane over ZrO(sub 2) supported MoO(sub x) catalysts by using kinetic analysis and isotopic tracer studies. The results suggest that the kinetically relevant steps in propane dehydrogenation and propane combustion involve the dissociation of C - H bonds in the respective reactant.

Extent of reduction of vanadium oxides during catalytic oxidation of alkanes measured by in-Situ UV-Visible spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
The method for measuring the extent of reduction during catalysis using pre-edge features in the UV-visible spectrum is described. It is proved that this method provides greater sensitivity than x-ray absorption and UV visible spectroscopic methods based on near-edge spectral features.
