Article Abstract:
The electrochemical properties of several thiophene-pyrrole-thiophene oligomers have been studied by cyclic voltammetry and double-potential-step chronoamperometry. Results show that substitution by a methyl group lowers the oxidation potential when the methyl is introduced on the beta'-positions of the mixed oligomers. The cation radical undergoes a coupling reaction in solution leading to a dimer or a polymer depending on the starting monomer. Coupling between two cation radicals has been observed in the alpha-unsubstituted oligomers.

Article Abstract:
Multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are grown on the fibers of a commercial porous carbon paper that are used as carbon-collecting electrodes in fuel cells and the Pt nanoparticles are characterized by cyclic voltammetry, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Pt deposited onto loose MWCNTs all spread on the same side of the carbon paper is a better electrode choice for [H.sub.2]/[O.sub.2] fuel cells.

Article Abstract:
In case of chronoamperometry and linear sweep voltammetry, the problem of transfer by electron hopping through a volumic modified electrode with a fractal structural is investigated. The results based on theoretical treatment show that currents in chronoamperometry and the peak currents in cyclic voltammetry both depend linearly on a biligoarithmic scale with time and scan rate.
