Electrochemical investigation of traps in a nanostructured TiO2 film
Article Abstract:
Electrochemical methods were applied for investigating the electron traps at the nanostructured TiO2 (anatase)/aqueous electrolyte interface. It is seen that the pH dependence of the trap density indicates that the traps investigated were surface-related, and trap densities in the aqueous electrolytes at pH 4.7 were estimated to be 4 x 10(super 11) centimeter(super -2) (microscopic area), and at pH 13 the value estimated was 5 x 10(super 13) (microscopic area).

Photolelectrochemistry of nanostructured WO3 thin film electrodes for water oxidation: mechanism of electron transport
Article Abstract:
Nanostructured WO3 thin films were prepared and photooxidation of water at such films was studied in a pH 4.68 solution. The cathodic current at potentials below -100 mV versus a saturated Ag/AgCl electrode was related to the reversible intercalation of H(super +) and/or Na(super +).

Structure, composition, and morphology of photoelectrochemically active TiO(sub 2-x)N(sub x) thin films deposited by reactive DC magnetron sputtering
Article Abstract:
Nitrogen-doped TiO2 films were made by reactive reactive DC magnetron sputtering without post-treatment. The structural and morphological properties of the films by X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, and scanning and transmission electron microscopy are investigated.
