Article Abstract:
The molecular structure and arrangement of 1-butyronitrile-3-methlimidazolium halide, in the presence and absence of the intruded water molecule was investigated by single-crystal X-ray crystallography and near IR Raman spectroscopy. It was found that a water molecule changes the conformation of the n-butyronitrile chain of the 1-butyronitrile-3-methlimidazolium cation based ILs, water molecules make a H-bonding network with anions, disturbing the stable molecular structure and arrangement.

Article Abstract:
A new approach is developed based on fluorescence quenching of a chromophore, pyranine (8-hydroxypyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonic acid, trisodium salt, POH) for monitoring the synthesis of the pyranine-substituted phthalonitrile derivative PoPht. The new material can be used for synthesizing the phthalocyanine having an increased fluorescence property and solubility in an aqua medium, which would result in a desired candidate molecule in many applications of phthalocyanines.

Article Abstract:
The surface reactions of 3-butenenitrile with the Si(001)-2 X 1 at room temperature are studied. The different adsorption modes of this reaction can be detected with the help of chemical sensitivity of core-level spectroscopy.
