DNA-network-templated self-assembly of silver nanoparticles and their application in surface-enhanced Raman scattering
Article Abstract:
A gamma-DNA network on a mica surface was fabricated with a simple method. Silver nanoparticles capped with the cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) were self assembled onto a two-dimensional DNA network template by electrostatic interaction and formed nanoporous silver films, which can be used as active surface-enhanced raman scattering (SERS) substrates.

Atomic force microscopic study of low temperature disassembly of RecA-dsDNA filaments
Article Abstract:
Atomic force microscopy (AFM) is used for examining different morphologies of RecA-DNA nucleoprotein filaments at low temperature under different solution conditions. The studies have shown the effect of cold denaturation on the interaction of DNA and RecA.

A novel strategy to construct a flat-lying DNA monolayer on a mica surface
Article Abstract:
A novel method is developed to fabricate flat-flying, densely packed DNA monolayers on a solid mica surface. The effects of both DNA and [Mg.sup.+] concentration in the formation solution on DNA monolayer formation are investigated.
