Dynamics of proton transfer in the sol-gel-derived P(sub 2)O(sub 5)-SiO(sub 2) glasses
Article Abstract:
Water diffusion and its role on the proton conducted in the sol--gel-derived porous P(sub 2)O(sub 5)-SiO(sub 2) glasses are discussed, which display a conductivity higher than ~10(super -2)S/cm at room temperature. These inorganic glass membranes have potential as the electrolyte of fuel cells.

Effect of cooling rate on pore distribution in quenched sodium borosilicate glasses

Research into the distribution of pores based on the spinodal phase separation in sodium borosilicate glass found the decreasing cooling rate lead to an increase in pore volume and surface area.
