Article Abstract:
The adsorption and reaction of acetylene on planar and faceted Ir(210) were studied utilizing temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), low-energy electron diffraction (LEED), and high-resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy (HREELS). The evidence was found in TPD measurements for structure sensitivity in decomposition of acetylene over the clean faceted Ir(210) surface versus the clean planar Ir(210) surface, which is attributed to nanometer sale structures on the faceted surface.

Article Abstract:
A novel and convenient method to prepare the hollow cadmium molybdate (CdMoO4) microspheres via a template-free aqueous solution method with the help of NaCl at room temperature is described. The concentration of NaCl is found to play an important role in the formation of the hollow microspheres and may lead to provide a suitable chemical environment, which favors the formation of hollow CdMoO4 microspheres.
