150-year-old Sud-Chemie has a new parent

Article Abstract:

United States private equity firm One Equity Partners has acquired 50% of Germany's 150-year old Sud-Chemie, but is still subject to EU regulatory approval. One Equity Partners has been trying to takeover the catalyst and adsorbent manufacturer since 2005, which had a 2007 first quarter sales of 533 million euros. The acquisition attempts made by One Equity Partners, as well as an overview of Sud-Chemie, are presented.
