Circuit City plans two new concepts

Circuit City Stores Inc plans to test two new store concepts, namely one that centers on consumer electronics and another that focuses on major appliance offerings. The retailer will increase sales space to 30% by converting non-selling square footage to selling. The converted space will be utilize to include AOL Internet Centers; the Sony Memory Stick Interactive Universe as well as expanded digital audio, wireless phone displays; and DVD DIRECTV and digital television displays.
