Valuing the product development cycle in agricultural biotechnology-what's in a name?

Article Abstract:

The investors, various company collaborators and the technology licensors, should use a common nomenclature system as it facilitates easy understanding of the value of the agbiotech products and its product development cycle. However, because of the clarity adopted in the system various important investors would also be interested to invest in the product development industry.

Inverting enantioselectivity by directed evolution of hydantoinase for improved production of L-methionine

Article Abstract:

The hydantoinase process for producton of L-methionine (L-met) in Escherichia coli has been enhanced through the use of directed evolution. The researchers accomplished this by inverting the enantioselectivity and increasing the total activity of a key enzyme in a whole-cell catalyst.
