Article Abstract:
Value Health Inc provides specialty managed care programs for employer-sponsored health benefit plans. The stock was trading at the $40 area before and after a Dec 1992 public offering. The price, however, declined from $37 to $32 in Feb 1992, and even went as low as $22. Six insiders took advantage when the price recovered, selling 513,671 shares from Mar to Apr 1993, at the $29.50 to $30 range. These distributions suggest a lack of positive news.

Article Abstract:
Medco Containment Services Inc provides affordable prescription drug services to more than 1,235 benefit plans. Nine insiders disposed of more than 1.6 million shares in Apr 1993 alone. It should be noted that these insiders did not sell in Nov and Dec 1992, when the issue was trading higher. The sales took place when the price was trading at the $24.50 level. The substantial volume involved in the sales are considered as negative signs.

Article Abstract:
Caremark International Inc is a health care provider which had an initial public offering in 1992. Dir Ira Harris accumulated 10,000 shares at $12.88 last Dec 1, 1992, while Dir Roger Headrick bought 16,200 shares at the same price last Feb 23, 1993. The stock is now pegged at the $14 level so the two insider purchases were commendable. Investors, however, are advised not to buy the stock as it appreciates.
