Article Abstract:

Czech Republic: The most demanded type of information on Czech Internet portals is the news. About 68.8% of users utilize news services. The selective survey was done by Taylor Nelson Sofres Factum in Mar 2001. According to the survey, 62.1% of Internet users are interested in education, 58.3% of users in information about products and services, 48.6% of users in humour and amusement and 42.7% of users in tourism.

Linde Technoplyn increased its profit in 2000

Linde Technoplyn (Prague, Czech Republic), industrial gas producer and supplier, generated a profit of CEK 461 mil in 2000. The sum is 5.5% higher compared to 1999. The company generated proceeds of CEK 2.867 bil in 2000, 14.5% more compared to 1999.
