EMI

Article Abstract:

EMI may rank third in the world music industry and ranks second in the music publishing industry after Warner Chappell. EMI has confirmed a bid approach though it is not clear who this is from. Seagram is a possibility, though other major music companies such as Sony could be suitors, as could a company such as Walt Disney seeking to diversify. A bid may not materialise, but the company's earnings could improve which would also help its stock price.
