Podebradka (Podebrady, Czech Republic), the third largest Czech mineral water producer, plans to increase its production to 1.315 mil hl in 2001 compared to 1.09 mil hl in 2000. The company's sales increased by 23% in 2000 compared to 1999. Its proceeds should rise by 20% in 2001 compared to CEK 670 mil in 2000. Podebradka's proceeds rose by 29% in 2000 compared to 1999. The firm has 150 employees. It will probably be for sale. The reasons of the firm's owners are subjective. Podebradka is negotiating its sale with several investors but it does not want to report their names.

Logit receives investment incentives

Article Abstract:

Logit CR (Podborany, Czech Republic), synthetic fibre manufacturer, will extend its production shortly. The investment costs on the project should be CEK 207.6 mil. The firm should set up 55 new jobs. Logit has received investment incentives in the form of five-year tax holidays for an increase in the income tax within the project. Besides, the firm will receive CEK 200,000 for every newly set up job and a contribution for the re-qualification of employees on the level of 35% of total costs.
