Text entry on handheld computers by older users
Article Abstract:
An investigation is presented into three studies that suggest older workers find it easier to enter data on a pocket computer with a keyboard rather than with a touch-screen. All studies reveal greater error when text is entered via a touch-screen.

A new study investigates the objective and subjective indicators of alertness of volunteers suffering from common colds. It is shown that those with colds have slower reaction times, are less alert and less sociable, than healthy volunteers.
