Article Abstract:
Craven and Findlay Ltd (Hayes, Middlesex, England) founder Graham Hodgkinson is the head of a firm of 15 employees that designs, manufactures, and leases radio equipment. Hodgkinson is satisfied with his relationship with his accounting firm, Kingston Smith, and has no desire to move to a larger firm or create his own finance staff. Hodgkinson believes that his accounting firm meets all his needs and the expense is cheaper than hiring a professional for his own staff. Hodgkinson believes that the great advantage of using an accounting firm for a small business such as his own is that it gives the firm access to experts on complicated issues such as the value-added tax.
