How Get got over flex price war

Article Abstract:

Get was floated in Feb 1995 and was then hit by intense price competition in the market for flexes and cables. The company issued a profit warning and was also affected by problems as a key customer, Wickes. Get has diversifed away from cables into higher-margin products. The United Kingdom housing market recovery should help the company. Get's profit for 1996 to 1997 is forecast at 1.8 million pounds sterling by Butterfield Securities.
