Scenes of jubilation

Article Abstract:

The Docklands area of London, England, is linked by transporation, but there are different segments within the Docklands which are affected by different demand factors. Canary Wharf is seen as a benchmark and will benefit from the opening of the Jubilee subway line. Speculative development has occurred which shows that this scheme is buoyant, as are neighbouring schemes at South Quay, which is linked to Canary Wharf by a footbridge. Other projects in Docklands are also attracting interest.

Canary Wharf Ltd, Hotel Properties and Pidemco Land are involved in the scheme which includes luxury apartments, a hotel and a health and fitness club. There are also likely to be cafes and restaurants on the river frontage. Both Pidemco and Hotel Properties are companies from Singapore.
