SME raises profit

Severomoravska energetika (SME) (Ostrava, Czech Republic), electric power distributor, saw a net profit of CEK 698.626 mil in 2000. In 1999 the company generated a net profit of CEK 372.744 mil. According to audited results, the firm's proceeds rose to CEK 14.052 bil in 2000 compared to CEK 13.685 bil in 1999. SME is the largest of the eight domestic electric power distributors.

Kablo Kladno strengthened its proceeds in 2000

Kablo (Kladno, Czech Republic), cable manufacturer, saw proceeds of CEK 1.772 bil in 2000, 15% more compared to 1999. In 2000 the firm generated a pre-tax loss of CEK 8.5 mil. According to turnover, Kablo is the largest Czech cable manufacturer. Its majority shareholder is Felten & Guilleaume Kabelwerke (Germany), which is owned by NKT Cables.

Severomoravska Energetika reports a profit

Severomoravska energetika (Ostrava, Czech Republic), power firm, saw a balance profit of CEK 1.258 bil in 2000, according to preliminary results. The sum is three times higher compared to 1999. In 1999 the firm saw a profit of CEK 372.744 mil. Its outputs amounted to CEK 14.14 bil in 2000, 3.3% more compared to 1999.
