PVT (Prague, Czech Republic), provider of information technology services, saw a profit of more than CEK 320 mil in 2000. The sum was nine-times higher compared to 1999. The firm paid dividends from the 1999 profit but it is changing its strategy of profit division. It will not pay dividends from the 2000 profit. PVT will use the profit for the formation of its own strong sources for expected investments.

Cukrovar Vrbatky (CV) (Vrbatky, Czech Republic), sugar refining company, will pay a gross dividend of CEK 60 per share from its 2000 profit. In 2000 the company generated a net profit of CEK 87.52 bil compared to CEK 32.38 mil in 1999. The proceeds for the sales of its products and services amounted to CEK 591.312 mil in 2000, up 10.7% from 1999.

Vertex (Litomysl, Czech Republic), glass fibre and fabric manufacturer, saw a net profit of CEK 593 mil in 2000. The firm will pay dividends of CEK 446 mil from the profit, CEK 218 per share. The firm will also be renamed to Saint-Gobain Vertex (SGV) (Litomysl, Czech Republic). SGV is owned by the concern Saint-Gobain (France).
