NAFTA Intra-Industry Trade in Agricultural Food Products

Article Abstract:

A study on NAFTA's impact on inter-industry and intra-industry showed increase in inter-industry trade of food products involving processing between the U.S. and Canada. On the other hand, there was, between Mexico and both the U.S. and Canada, increased intra-industry trade of food crops which involved little or no processing.

The market potential for gift baskets of Hawaiian food products in China

Article Abstract:

A study to determine the acceptance and marketability of Hawaiian food products in ethnic hand-made containers for exclusive Chinese customers is conducted. Results reveal a positive market, which could be gender based, but required further investigations.

Ex-post competitiveness of China's export in agri-food products: 1980-96

Research investigating China's export performance in agri-food products by using the constant market share model. Results indicate that during the period of 1980-96 there was a downward trend in the competitiveness of China's agri-food exports.
