Law firms in Merseyside, England, have particular strengths in insurance law which helps with other commercial work. There are two legal centers in the north west of England, Manchester and Liverpool. Dibb Lupton Alsop is the main law firm in Liverpool, followed by Davies Wallis Foster which is expanding in commercial law. Weightmans has a strong reputation in insurance law. Other firms include Hill Dickinson, Mace and Jones Grundy Kershaw and Berrymans Lace Mawer.

Article Abstract:
Law firms in northern England have benefited from major deals and these include deals fom major international corporations. Clients tend to consult law firms at the last minute on issues such as changes in regulations on work hours. Major law firms are busy, but are also affected by economic uncertainty affecting the UK. Corporate finance teams have large amounts of work, and the private finance initiative is one of the areas where law firms have been busy.
