Split-dollar life insurance

Article Abstract:

Estate planners have several varieties of split-dollar life insurance plans which they may offer to their clients. Such plans involve employees and employers sharing premiums and benefits on cash value life insurance policies which are relatively low cost to employers. IRS rulings and Tax Court cases control the tax treatment of the plans.
