Chartered accountants (CAs) are not known to be smart investors, belying the impression that they possess stock market acumen because of their business knowledge and their propensity toward details. In fact, CAs often make investment decisions without careful thought and planning, basing their moves mostly on their emotions. Pointers for investing CAs are offered, such as the purchase and maintenance of cheap stocks, an avoidance of over-dependence on bonds and conversion to managed money products. It is also generally good to stay invested to be able to catch periods of stock market gains.
