Article Abstract:
Drivers' interpersonal communication skill on road was investigated, comparing novice drivers' skill with that of experienced drivers. The meanings of road users' signals in 24 traffic situations were evaluated by 63 participants, with signals classified as Formal Signal, Informal Signal and Everyday Signal. Experienced drivers could understand signals better than novice drivers, and novice drivers understood Formal Signal and Everyday Signal better than Informal Signal.

Vibrotacticle perception thresholds were measured for several populations of men and women blue-collar workers in an attempt to discover sensitivity to damage from vibrating tools. Thresholds were higher for men than women and less consistent among women than men.
