COSCO launches $235 million ABS

China Ocean Shipping Co. (COSCO) completes the placement of a five-year $235 million asset-backed securities issue based on its future freight receivables. This deal which will fund COSCO's future shipping investments and help to diversify other areas of its business, shows the confidence of foreign investors in China's export business.
