Article Abstract:

Knowledge- and power-based firms, such as the Coca-Cola Co, Nike, and Gillette, have dominated industry and will continue to dominate in the coming century. Conventional organizations will have to adopt these firms' management techniques in order to survive. Coca-Cola and Nike have become immensely successful due to their market capitalization techniques, which they personally supervise while leaving other areas of the business such as manufacturing and distribution to overseas firms. Such firms consistently offer consumers value-added and efficiently designed products through strategic planning techniques.

Long live privatization!

Article Abstract:

Airports in Canada were privatized in 1992. Partial privatization of the airports have generated major benefits such as improvements in services and the launching of major improvement projects. However, one of the biggest aviation mistakes Canada has ever made is the construction of Mirabel in 1970 which led to the demise of Montreal as the hub of Canadian aviation. Mirabel remains underused ever since it was opened. The Societe des aeroports de Montreal has, thus, decided to return all international flights to Dorval to be able to attract more passengers to Montreal.
