Boom time for the stockbrokers

Article Abstract:

Leeds, England, has seen the entry of three stockbrokers from outside the region and a further broker from within West Yorkshire. No single broker has maintained dominance over a long period, though BWD Rensburg is aiming for market leadership. There are two types of brokers in the city, partnerships and brokers forming part of companies which may be backed by parents. Companies from outside the region that have sought to penetrate the market in Leeds have tended to be more successful if they have carried out mergers with other companies in Leeds.
