Well-known indices include the Dow Jones for the US, the Nikkei 225 for Japan, the DAX for germany, the CAC 40 for France and the Hang Seng for Hong Kong. These indices are geared to local investors, and the Financial Times has collaborated with other organizations to produce a range of international indices geared to the needs of international investors.
