Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine the relationship of several performance indicators of saccades to saccadic velocity and the reliability of the 'jumping light spot' paradigm. The horizontal and vertical electrooculogram of the subjects' eye movements was measured. Results showed that stable variations existed between anticipatory and reactive saccades which implied that saccadic velocity changes when the response mode varies.

Article Abstract:
The tabular format of representing information is more efficient than the text format. Empirical proof is presented by research concerning eye movement when examining information shown on a video display terminal of a computer. The t-test performed on seven subjects showed that there is a significant 1% difference in the screen frame processing time between the tabular and textual information formats.

Human information processing relies primarily on visual stimuli with the rest of the senses serving as additional input sources. Research on visual and tactile inputs where subjects are made to perform shape tracings show that initial outputs are based on visual information. Repetitions of the tracings shows and increase in tactile information use and a decrease in visual information utilization.
