Article Abstract:
The Air Force is considering options for the replacement of B-2 stealth bomber with its successor even though the B-2 stealth bomber will continue to be a part of the Air Force arsenal and the Air Force could decide to field one by 2018. Northrop Grumman, the manufacturer of B-2, and a contributor to the Air Force's study of the aircraft's replacement possibilities, is working under contract with the Air Force for providing support an analysis of alternative study (AOA) commenced by the Air Force.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has begun work on the highly interoperable Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) with Northrop Grumman as the leader of a team that would include 10 or more corporate team members. The network is expected to connect smoothly to other security and defense-related agencies as well as state and local agencies and will include five wide area networks inherited by the DHS.
