The aerospace industry will not be rescued by protectionist limits on imports of military and civilian aircraft to the United States but by greater globalization in which some components of aircraft are made abroad. The United States is facing a loss of jobs as U.S. aerospace corporations are outsourcing production of some aircraft components to nations overseas.
