Accountability: The forgotten creed

Article Abstract:

The tendency of the community at all levels ranging from government down to personal responsibility for one's own actions, to accuse others for their faults, is focused. The legal system also supports this hypothesis by offering a relief to companies to claim recovery from auditors who failed to report that their self-indulgence was affecting the company's financial health, thus ignoring the concept of personal responsibility.

The charities need to rethink the way they identify, record, and report on the things that matters by focusing on measures of output, outcomes, and their impact on what the charity is trying to achieve. This is because of the increased competitiveness, donor awareness, and improved monitoring and evaluation.
