Kmart's winner may become loser

Kmart Holding Corp.'s is thinking of further continuing its future relationship with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. since Martha Stewart was found guilty of lying to government investors about her sale of stock in a biotechnology company. Analysts feel that Kmart is unlikely to abandon Stewart, as sales of her products at Kmart were $1.5 billion in 2002, about 5 percent of Kmart's total sales.

Judge tosses major charge against Tyco chiefs

Manhattan state Supreme Court Judge Michael Obus dismissed one of the most serious charges against the two former top executives of looting Tyco International Ltd. of $600 million. He left intact the rest of the 33-count indictment against former Tyco chairman and chief executive officer L. Dennis Kozlowski and former chief financer officer Mark Swartz.
