Clothing chain gets a lifeline

Moorestown, Penn.-based Today's Man Inc. has reached an agreement with Mellon Bank which will provide the clothing retailer with $35 million from over two years. The company, which lost $3.1 million in the first three fiscal quarters ended Oct. 30, also announced that it has hired New York, NY-based Wasserstein Perella and Co. Inc. to search for more financing.

Moorestown, Penn.-based clothing retailer Today's Man Inc. has announced it will receive $35 million from Mellon Bank over a period of two years. Today's Man, which has hired New York investment banking firm Wasserstein Perella and Co. Inc. to conduct a strategy study, has lost $3.1 million in its first three fiscal quarters ended Oct. 30.

Clothing company expands online

Philadelphia, PA-based World Apparel Products Company Inc., which was founded in 1976 and reported $96 million in annual sales, is branching out to the Internet to sell name-brand clothing. The firm also plans to move its headquarters to north Philadelphia and may file for an initial public offering.
