New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer is investigating the insurance industry as the experts revealed that Ace's growth would slow as premiums are squeezed in the wake of the probe and soliciting new customers becomes riskier as a result.

One such case is of Vioxx, where the clinical trials showed that the arthritis drug doubled the risk of heart attack and stroke for patients if taken for more than 18 months.
