A former secretary turns chief executive

Kimberle Levin is the cofounder, president and chief executive of JVC Technologies Inc. The 36 year old former secretary, who never attended college, runs the Plymouth Meeting computer service firm with annual revenues of $12 million. Levin was the director of investor relations at Asbestec Industries before she cofounded JVC with John Cellini who did systems installations for Asbestec. JVC provides systems integration for companies such as Ameritech Corp., Aramark Corp. and 3M.

DocuShred Inc. one of 300 companies nationwide that provide secured document shredding, has been operating in the Philadelphia area for more than seven years. The company charges $45 to $15,000 a month depending on volume. Shredded documents are bound into 1,800 bales and sent either to a landfill or a recycling plant.
