Article Abstract:
Bentley Systems Inc. (Exton, PA) received a $15 million investment from Bachow & Associates Inc. (Bala Cynwyd, PA). Bentley is described as the largest privately held software company in the U.S. The company offers its CAD program which allows engineers to collectively work on design projects via the internet. The program reconciles changes made to the project. Bachow invested in this company because it was impressed with the company's current number of users, which includes Dupont. Bachow was also interested in Bentley's ideas on how people will work in the future. One of the Bentley brothers developed the program while working at Dupont. The article concludes with a table showing investments for regional companies.
