850 jobs to be cut at Fleet credit-card center

Article Abstract:

Bank of America Corp. plans to cut 850 of the 1500 jobs in 2005 at the former Fleet Financial Corp. credit-card center in Horsham, which happens to be the biggest job cut announcement in Montgomery County till April 2004. The bank claims that it does not need all 2,600 workers it inherited from Fleet's credit-card subsidiary because it already had card operations in Arizona and other states.
