Daiho (Japan), plastic components company, plans to invest more than CEK 600 mil in Plzen, Czech Republic, from 2001. The investment should go to the manufacturing of plastic cases for televisions. The firm has received investment incentives from the Czech state for the project. They will be provided in the form of tax holidays and an exemption from import tariffs on machinery and equipment.

Techplast (Rybnik, Czech Republic), automotive plastics company, will start the pilot operation of a new CEK 50 mil tool plant in Moravska Trebova, Czech Republic, in Jan 2001. Initially, the plant will have 24 employees. Techplast also plans to build a new moulding plant, which should have 50-60 employees.
