VW's woes mount amid claims of sex junkets for union chiefs

Article Abstract:

Volkswagen AG of Germany is under investigation by German regulators for influence peddling with union leaders. Klaus-Joachim Gebauer, a former employee has given evidence that company funds were used illegally to take top labor leaders on travel junkets that included call girls, luxury hotels and the use of a company airplane. Volkswagen AG is the largest automobile manufacturer in the European Union.

Daimler fires workers following its bribery probe
