Two yards build latest Irish pelagic pair team

Article Abstract:

'Olgarry' and ' Pacelli' are two Irish pelagic fishing vessels designed by Norway based Rolls-Royce Nordvestconsult for Irish owner Noel McGing. ' Olgarry' is built by Hoekman Shipbuilding yard of Urk, Netherlands whereas ' Pacelli' is built by Larsnes Mek Versted yard in Norway. The features of the two vessels useful for fishing mackerel, herring and other pelagic species are discussed.

Pelagic catching power on the way: Ships for Scotland and Ireland

Modern vessels are being received by pelagic operators of Ireland and the United Kingdom. The ships, which are mostly from Noway shipyards, will operate as trawlers for pelagic fishing, rather than purse seiners.

Deep-water trawler joins Boulogne fleet

Nord Pecheries has received a new deepwater trawler built by Karstensens Skibsvaerft of Denmark. The vessel is a traditional stern trawler with modern equipment.
